Matthew Barlow

Matthew joined Burd Ward in January 2019 as a paralegal having studied at Calday Grange Grammar School before graduating from the University of Liverpool with a First Class Honours Degree in Law. He graduated from the University of Law in 2021 with a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course and a Distinction in LLM Masters of Laws. Matthew qualified as a Solicitor in July 2022 and was appointed as a Director in the firm in May 2024.

Matthew specialises in Private Client work including preparing Wills, estate planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate administration and Court of Protection. He also specialises in contentious probate litigation and disputes relating to estates.

Outside of work Matthew is a keen follower of multiple sports and is a supporter of Everton Football Club. He also enjoys various music festivals and concerts.
