Matthew joined Burd Ward in January 2019 as a paralegal having studied at Calday Grange Grammar School before graduating from the University of Liverpool with a First Class Honours Degree in Law. He graduated from the University of Law in 2021 with a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course and a Distinction in LLM Masters of Laws. Matthew qualified as a Solicitor in July 2022 and works in the civil litigation department dealing with a vast array personal injury claims in addition he assisted in the Volkswagen NOx Emissions Group Litigation. Matthew also works in the Wills, Trust and Probate department.

Outside of work Matthew is a keen follower of multiple sports and is a supporter of Everton Football Club. He also enjoys various music festivals and concerts.
