Where to find your VIN / Chassis Number

You can find this on your V5, on the letter received from VW, Audi etc, or on your windscreen or drivers side door.

What can you claim for?

  1. Loss in market value
  2. Additional fuel consumption
  3. Potential additional vehicle tax

Even if your vehicle is not one of those affected you may still suffer a loss in value of your vehicle.

What will we do?

We will instruct an Engineer to prepare a “diminution in Value” report and ask for the additional fuel consumption to also be considered. We will also consider any increase in vehicle tax.

We ask that you wait until your vehicle has been fixed until the reports are produced. However, if you are looking to sell your vehicle now then we will consider obtaining a report sooner.

In the meantime, we continue to check the press, relevant websites and liaise with Engineers. We will then send you regular updates via email or post.

What will it cost?

We will work on your cases under what is known as a “no win, no fee” agreement. If you lose you will not pay anything and it is for us as experts to risk assess your case and advise you of the prospects of getting compensation.

We will also pay for the Engineer Reports up front and claim the cost of the same from the Defendant.
