Appointments:

Q.How do I make an appointment?
A.You can either call us on 0151 639 8273, pop in to see us or email your request to info@burdward.co.uk

Q. Do you charge for appointments?

A. New clients (first time appointments) are given a free consultation (excluding wills & probate) lasting 30 minutes. Depending on whether your case is Legally Aided or not, subsequent appointments will be charged for. If you are not eligible for public funding then we will provide an estimate of costs.
 
Q.  How soon can I get an appointment?
A. You may be able to see someone the same day if there’s a cancellation/free slot, but if not, we will do our best to fit you in within the shortest time possible.
 
Q. Do you do after hours appointments?

A. Yes – in cases of emergency or where it’s impossible to see us during the day.
 
Q.  What do I need to bring with me on my first appointment?
A. When you book your first appointment, our receptionist will advise you as to what you need to bring in, depending on the type of matter you are seeing us about. You will need to bring proof of I.D. (photo I.D.), you may be asked for *evidence of income such as wage slips/bank statements, proof of any benefits you may be claiming. *In respect of Legal Help/Aid, we cannot give advice or undertake any work without proof of income/benefits.

Q.  What happens if I can't keep my appointment?
A. Tell us straight away so that we can inform your solicitor. Another appointment can be arranged to suit.
 
Q.  Can I bring someone with me?
A. Yes. Seeing a solicitor can seem a little daunting so we think it’s a good idea to have some moral support if you feel you need it.
 
Q. I'll have my children with me - is that ok?
A.If you cannot get someone to look after your children then you are welcome to bring them with you. We do however believe that children should be protected from hearing conversations on issues that could distress them and in this respect we would advise that children should not be present at any discussions of a sensitive nature.
 
Q.  Where is your office?
A. 23-27 Seaview Road, Liscard.

Q.  Where can I park?
A. There are parking bays (90 min stay) all along Seaview Road as well as several NCPs within very short distance.
